There’s what in my child’s bubble bath?

Shampoo Monopoly Man 400paddingUrge Dollar General to stop sales of products with a cancer-causing chemical

It’s fun to shop at the dollar store, and retail giant Dollar General makes shopping even more fun. Products like children’s strawberry shampoo and colorful Easter-themed ducky bubble baths are sure to please the kids – for just a buck!

You probably wouldn’t expect these kid-friendly products to put your children in harm’s way. But these Dollar General products contain a chemical known to cause cancer—and Dollar General was warned that these products violate California law nearly six months ago!

Other companies have signed legal agreements to stop using the cancer-causing chemical cocamide DEA in their products. We don’t know why Dollar General is still selling the tainted products – because they haven’t even responded to the legal notice they received last October!

Tell Dollar General CEO Richard W. Dreiling that it’s unacceptable to sell our kids products with a cancer-causing chemical! Urge him to take immediate action to resolve these hazards in his company’s stores.
