New Jersey Chemical Facility Safety and Security Listening Session
In the wake of the horrific chemical spill in West Virginia, chemical facility safety should be at the top of American’s minds right now.
This week, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in improving chemical facility safety and security during a public listening session this Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Newark, New Jersey.
Hosted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Labor (DoL), this is a very important opportunity to have your voice heard! They are interested in hearing from community members near chemical facilities, as well as the workers, regulators, and chemical producers who works at these facilities. Members of environmental and community groups, labor organizations representing affected workers, and more are also welcomed.
